Ruben Amorim - pictured getting support after May's European final loss - says he is pleased by the investor's continued commitment but stressed that the future is unpredictable in soccer.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim feels it's significant the investor openly discussed his extended perspective - but says nothing is certain about tomorrow in football, much less three full years.

During a discussion with a leading newspaper last week, Ratcliffe mentioned it may need the manager three seasons to make a significant impact at United's home ground.

Emerging in an era when the coach's tenure has been under scrutiny after a prolonged run of unsatisfactory outcomes, the words contributed to reducing a portion of the current stress.

However, talking ahead of the 100th meeting with historic adversaries the Reds at their home ground, the manager emphasized how what comes next is challenging to anticipate in the beautiful game.

"It is really good to listen to that but he communicates to me continuously, occasionally through communication after games - but you know, I realize and the co-owner recognizes, that football is not like that," he stated.

"The crucial element is the next game. Despite having backers, you cannot control tomorrow in soccer."

CEO the club executive has conceded it has required significantly extended periods for the head coach to adapt to the English top flight after his transfer from his former club during the winter than anyone imagined.

Manchester United have achieved 10 successes in 34 top-flight fixtures during Amorim's tenure. They are yet to win consecutive league victories and haven't finished a matchday this season above ninth position.

The dire statistics are stretching belief in the manager among the United fanbase heading into a sequence of matches their club has been awful in for the past two seasons.

The manager stated he isn't experiencing the uncertainty inside the club at their training facility and is firm nothing can match the stress he places on the squad - and in some senses, he would prefer Sir Jim to avoid attempting to create tranquility because he worries the effect it might produce on the team.

"It's not only a thing that people talk about, I feel it each day," he stated. "It's really good to hear it because it benefits our followers to comprehend the management realize it needs a while.

"Yet concurrently, I'm not fond of it because it generates a sense that we have time to resolve issues. I don't wish for that impression in our club.

"The stress I place on the team or on myself is so much bigger [compared to external sources]. In the sport, especially in big clubs, you must demonstrate your worth every matchday."
