American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick has rejected making a formal takeover bid for Tottenham.
The club had previously “firmly declined” an informal expression of interest from a syndicate headed by the American last period and maintained the organization was off the market.
However the nation's corporate governance laws stipulated that, following an initial approach rejected, the interested parties were obligated to present a formal offer by 24 October or announce they would not proceed.
Official word of the decision was provided in a announcement issued by Tottenham to the stock exchange, stating the organization is “no longer in an offer period.”
He posted an snapshot of the announcement on social media, adding: “It's been a honor engaging with the club and the owners' agents over the past few weeks.
“I hold high regard for the club, its leadership, and its supporters, and wish them nothing but success.”
The club's board expressed gratitude to the syndicate for its “cooperative stance” in talks and for “honoring the firm stance” of the owners that the club is off the market.
Brooklyn Earick is a former DJ who also served in spacecraft research for Nasa before establishing Redacted RnD, which specializes in innovation, media, sports and leisure.
His approach was the latest expression of interest rejected by the club's board since the unexpected exit of executive chairman the former chairman in September.
On 8 September, the club turned down offers from ex-Newcastle investor Staveley's PCP International and a consortium spearheaded by Roger Kennedy and Wing-Fai Ng through Firehawk Holdings Limited.
Daniel Levy and his household own about thirty percent of Enic Holdings – which has an majority stake in Tottenham.
Levy was the English top flight's longest-serving chairman and is estimated to have earned in excess of fifty million pounds during his long tenure in the role.
Yet he was also the focus of regular protests by the club's followers, particularly last term as home competition outcomes turned out unsatisfactory.
The north London club secured their first trophy in seventeen years when they overcame United in May's continental decider.
